Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo just came out for the ipad, so we finally got the excuse we’ve been waiting for to make this comic. As always, we at ReadySoup try to stay as true to the source material as possible, so all of the things Putt-Putt mentions in panel one are actual events in the series. He may have actually been one of the cars in the race rather than the car driving one of the cars, though....

Remember that thing I said about the greatest buddy cop movie of all time? Well, we think about it every waking moment, so here is the trailer for the first ever motion picture by the brand new Readysoup Pictures inc.
If you’re having trouble understanding this one, you probably don’t know these characters, or you’re over thinking it. There’s not much to it really; we just...

A Hearty Brew
I did not think this one would ever make it off the idea board.
We’re thinking of making a twitter account to tweet the unused ideas we come up with during our writing process, but Cork Board of Justice, which is what we call our idea board, is too many characters for a profile. If you would follow us, tell us, and we’ll think of a new name and get it up and running. Neither of us...

Skyward Bored
Skyward Sword is pretty incredible. Fi, on the other hand, is just awful. She just does not stop talking. On top of that, nothing she says is necessary at all. I don’t need her to tell me when my health gets low. That’s what the beeping is for. What bothers me the most about her, though, is her purple dialogue boxes. They don’t ever look good in whatever background they are on....

Game's Awakening
Link’s got game. In fact, he has so much game that we decided to make a series of comics dedicated to said game. Link also has games, and a new one comes out today. As I write this I have yet to pick up a copy. Otherwise I wouldn’t be writing this. All five comics are going up at the same time, so for a limited time, look at ten posts per page.
Poor Saria. She gets no love. Even if you really try...

Game of Ages
I know how we wrote this comic, but I don’t think anyone ever says no to Malon’s dad.

Twilight Game
I always liked Ruto the best. I’m not sure why. She is a giant fish, after all. I think it has something to do with the moral obligation of actually getting engaged to her.

A Link to the Game
Oh Nabooru, you’re creepy. Even ignoring the sexual tension between her and young Link, I’ve always found her unnerving for some reason. Maybe it’s because she’s the only sage you don’t meet early in the game. Maybe it’s her Nigel Thornberry sized nose. I don’t know.
Fun bit of Ready Soup Trivia: Two of these characters aren’t from Ocarina of Time.

Ocarina of Game
And then, his game slips up. I know this is an odd time for a Bastion spoiler, but my favorite part of that game was choosing not to turn back time at the end. After a dozen times playing Ocarina of Time, it was cathartic to say, “no. things got bad, but the world must move forward.”
In parting, I like to imagine that after everything, Link, like Black Bolt, marries all five of these women and...

Teamwork
We made another Skyrim comic. We wanted to shy away from doing the same game twice, but we really haven’t been thinking about anything else lately, with the obvious exception of how much we want to play Skyward Sword.
This is a true story by the way. I wasn’t actually having any trouble with the dragon, but something got glitchy with his AI, and he flew around way too far away from...

Cajones Conspiracy
I bet you thought this joke was going to be about how John can’t see 3D because he only has one eye.
Super Mario 3D Land is extremely fun, and more importantly, it is exactly the type of game I want to play on a handheld system. the levels are short and linear, so you never need to invest too much time at once, and the visuals are beautiful but simple enough so that they don’t lose...

More Like Ho-scarl
When the Jarl told me that He was giving me some woman, I was ready to have the “I don’t feel comfortable with the whole sex slave thing” talk. Then she turned out to be someone who could follow me around everywhere, and I wanted her services even less.
Much like we do with Saints Row, John and I find most of our fun with Elder Scrolls games in making up whatever story we feel like. Not to say...

Grab the Golden Globes
The Rayman Origins demo is out, and it is incredible. I realize that many of the questions brought up in this comic will most likely be answered in the full game, but John and I have been playing the demo enough that we began to ask them.
I’ve really enjoyed the recent resurgence in platformers. For a while, the genre seemed to be kept alive solely by Nintendo, and it’s great to see a lot of indy...

Autobots, Stroll Out
Could the Transformers disguise themselves as organic life forms if they wanted to? The ones from Beastwars could, but that whole show may have been out of canon. Also, do they change size to fit whatever they transform into? Would Optimus Prime have shrunk if he had scanned a motorcycle when he landed? These are the type of questions people need to ask about children’s shows from the...
A Dish He Can't Refuse
The story of Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns revolves around the rivalry between two towns and the cooking competitions they have. The mayor of whatever town you live in asks you to enter with your own cooking, but then they feed you all your food for the first season. they come to your house early in the morning and give you something to enter under your own name. It just feels dirty.
This is...

The Man in the Mirror
John and I play Saints Row a little differently than I think the designers intended. In our mind, our characters, Fatty and Asian, are actually undercover cops who got too deep into the crime world and lost track of who they were. Then, Fatty became the most powerful mafia boss in Stillwater, and Asian posed as his bodyguard and closest lieutenant.
Unfortunately, the new character creator does...
Fractured Hubris
Dark Souls is an incredible game but also incredibly difficult. I like to think of it as the modern RPG equivalent of Super Ghouls and Ghosts. John and I are considering making a short narrative comic starring our characters Swamp Witch and Elle.

Horrifying Creatures
the juxtaposition of anthropomorphic and normal animals in sonic really brings up a lot of questions. I can only equate the experience shown in the comic with a tiny naked human with arms and legs shaped like a dog’s and a neck that attaches to the back of the head.

Riverdale Rumble
I love Archie comics. I grew up reading them and they’ve never lost that charm for me. They get weird when they try to incorporate modern things like the internet, but the awkwardness just adds to it for me. It’s not like they were ever that good to begin with. I think I read somewhere that the gay character in Archie is getting married. Good for them for the diversity, but aren’t all the...
The Third Wheel
We make a lot of Pokemon comics.
By the way, Mitch hasn’t reverted to his old design. These were made before the change. I just forgot to post them.

The Master Plan
Did I say I put up all the comics? I meant John has six more that I didn’t have copies of for some reason. Happy day.
John’s not a big fan of reading. I think he read a novelization of the first Resident Evil game a long time ago. I think that’s pretty much it though, and as I understand it that was largely motivated by he and his brother competing to see who knew more about Resident Evil lore.

Sister Wives
John and I are pumped for the new Harvest Moon coming out, and it takes a bit of preparation. Although this shows (comic) John throwing Karen to the side, we would never betray our Harvest Moon 64 wives. They were the first and finest.
Since this is the last comic we made before putting this site up, this is probably the first one most of you are seeing. Well, this is Ready Soup, a comic by John...

Cocky Little Freaks
I already wrote about my disappointment with the new Batgirl. We had been wanting to write a comic where john and Mitch have completely separate conversations at the same time since we started making them. Then, John picked up Star Fox 64 3D, and this is the result.

Little Pink Ball of Love
Every time someone in Kirby: Return to Dreamland picks up some food and he passes someone else, the game stops for a moment so they can make out and share the food. This makes sure that one player doesn’t take all the health. It also makes sure no one playing feels entirely comfortable. Even if you don’t find romance between genderless multicolored shape-shifters and anthropomorphic...
Cinema Gold
If you like ridiculous horror movies and haven’t seen The Woman, do so immediately. I haven’t had that much fun with a movie since The Machine Girl. My dream is a fighting game in which the two of them are playable characters, but I can’t think of any other characters that would keep up the standard of excellence they embody. A buddy cop movie would be cool too.
