So we made a comic based on the extremely small amount of information we know about Pokemon Black 2 and White 2. Not much else to say about it.

What Jaffe said was stupid and sexist, but really, it was nothing we didn’t expect from the creator of Twisted Metal and was no more offensive than the general portrayal of women in every video game ever. We would have just chalked it up to someone making a mistake and saying some thing dumb except for how he handled people being upset about it. To corner the editor of Kotaku and yell at him...

John and I have been kicking around the idea of a heartless Captain Planet for a while now. We thought that since the heart power seems to do nothing for Ma-Ti, it must be really important for Captain Planet. Without it, he’s nothing but the unchecked vengeance of Gaia upon humanity, ruthlessly cleansing Mother Earth of her insignificant parasites.

I started watching Power Rangers Samurai on Nicktoons and got hooked. Now John and I are working our way through Mighty Morphin on Netflix. I can’t believe child me never noticed that half the show was filmed in a different language. I guess I always assumed Rita Repulsa’s mouth moved weird because she was just that evil.

Our crack team of wackyologists came up with this theory after a decade long study in food-based single-panel gags (also known as dagwoodian marmadukiatrics.) We’re very proud of them.

I should say that despite the freezing and ridiculously small text, the Syndicate demo was awesome. I can’t think of a game that John and my Left 4 Dead team has had as much fun playing since Left 4 Dead 2. Seriously though, John and I could barely read anything on our 52 inch TV’s, and on anything smaller all the text was completely unreadable. We had to read everything to our...

I always loved Power Girl’s boob window. For many, it was emblematic of female superheroes costumes being made to be sexy rather than functional, but for me, it always seemed more like a commentary on it. It was just so ridiculously unnecessary that it seemed self aware. I picture a boardroom looking at a windowless design and someone saying, “Not sexy enough. Cut a hole in it.”...

And thus our story ends happily. Our hero has completed his quest, found the woman he loves, and given her the gift he toiled over for so long. What happens now? Where will the future lead these two lovers? That is for Harvest Moon Day to decide. And now, the epic conclusion of the legend of Harvest Moon Day. We left off with an imminent school day and an end to the playing of Harvest Moon. John...

Defeat. What will our hero do? His quest for the affections of this fiery haired lass have been thwarted by her equally fiery haired but significantly more oblivious father. Will the corn he labored over for so long go to waste? Must he stow it away in his satchel for another day? Where could she be? As for part two of the legend of Harvest Moon Day, we left off with John and I purchasing and...

And so our story begins. What drives our hero to work so hard? What fire burns within him pushing him to such lengths? What about a simple corn crop would have him tending it until he passes out? He could get sick like that. You’ll just have to wait and see as this three part Harvest Moon Day extravaganza continues. Now as promised, I will tell part one of the legend of Harvest Moon Day. On...

We listened to the theme song to The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in four different languages while writing this comic. February the 14th is closing in fast, and here at Ready Soup, that means we’re busy preparing for Harvest Moon Day, our annual celebration of the greatest farming/life simulation ever made. Why February the 14th you ask? Well, That legend will be told soon enough....

I think all of the enemies may have a similar reversal of orifices, but I’m not sure. I haven’t actually played it. It does have some awful dialogue though. We wanted to make a comic about that, but all we could think of was a transcription of the first time the main characters meet followed by Mitch tearing his own ears off.

John and I are figuring out a lot of things as we go with this comic. One of which is how much we want John and Mitch to be stand-ins for ourselves. As with most decisions of its type, this one came down to necessity, and after a day of babysitting John’s nephew, we couldn’t think of a comic that didn’t involve babysitting, so we wrote the comic above. It’s a little out of...
